History of
KIYC CLUB
KIYC (Kshetri Iril Mapal Youth Club) has a rich history of passion, dedication, and achievements in football, dating back to its formative years. The foundation of the club was laid by Professor Janab, whose relentless efforts, alongside Epham Abdul Jalil and Nazir Ali Yumkhaibam, led to the club’s official registration in 1963. Their vision for nurturing local talent was greatly supported by SDO Raushan, who played a significant role in the club’s development.
In 1963, KIYC made its mark by participating in the prestigious Manipur League, held at 2nd MR. Under the exceptional leadership of Shahjabam Shahbuddin Qureshi, the club clinched the championship, showcasing its potential from the very beginning. Ramzan Ali, a player and lifeman referee, also played a pivotal role during this time.
